Product disclaimer

Mirk is a cleaning device designed for oral appliances — including retainers, clear aligners, night guards, bite guards, sleep appliances, dentures, and toothbrush heads.

Mirk is not a medical device. It is not designed, intended, or marketed to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, infection, or medical condition. It is not a substitute for the cleaning protocols recommended by your dentist or orthodontist.

If you have a medical or dental condition, consult your dentist or physician. Do not use Mirk in place of professional dental care.

Claims and results

Cleaning results vary depending on the type, age, and condition of the appliance. References to "clean," "like-new," "clear," or similar terms describe the visible appearance of the appliance after a cleaning cycle — not a medical, microbiological, or antimicrobial outcome.

Third-party references

Where this site references dentists, orthodontists, or dental laboratories, those references describe the general professional category. They do not imply endorsement by any specific practitioner, association, or institution unless explicitly named.

Governing law

This website and any purchases made through it are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

What Mirk does not do

Mirk does not sanitise, sterilise, disinfect, or otherwise kill or inactivate bacteria, viruses, fungi, mould, or any other microorganisms.

Mirk is a mechanical cleaning device. It uses ultrasonic cavitation to physically dislodge plaque, buildup, and visible residue from the surface of oral appliances. It does not make any antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, or germicidal claim of any kind.

If you require sanitisation or sterilisation of an oral appliance, follow the protocol prescribed by your dentist or healthcare provider.
